DESCRIPTION:General Info\nVizsla owners and TCVC members — You are invited to our Fall Festival! Join us as we celebrate another year of club events with our fellow Vizsla owners. This is an event where your dogs are welcome. Please bring a crate for your dog to stay in during the potluck. Also\, dogs must be on a leash unless they are participating in the games or photos and a leash is not needed during that activity. Please note that canine influenza is active this season – if your dog is ill\, please leave them at home. \nTables and chairs will be available for us to use. Plan on bringing your own beverages for the event. \nPotluck Sign-up\nThis year we are using the Cheddar Up app to sign up for a dish to bring. This app is free to use and does not require you to create an account. It will ask for your email to send you a confirmation and calendar reminder. It’s pretty easy to use\, but here is a helpful hint for our event. You can view what others are bringing by clicking on the arrow to expand the comments. Please include in your email how many people/dogs will be in your photo session so we can be sure to allocate enough time for everyone. \n \nParking\nPlease be respectful of local businesses and park in designated areas only. \nVolunteers Needed\nAs with any event\, we are looking for a few volunteers to help with setup\, cleanup\, and a few of the games. Gray Duck Art will take your image and turn it into a paint by number\, making this class a fun and successful experience for all.\nRight after purchasing your ticket\, please email us photos of your pet. Please use directions at grayduckart.com/class. Registration and photo submission will close 14 days prior to class so we have time to draw your custom artwork.\nClasses include a pre-drawn paint by number on your canvas and a full set of custom mixed paints. Canvases are drawn by local artists in the Twin Cities (more info about our team at grayduckart.com/about).\nNo painting experience necessary. SUMMARY:2024 VCA National Gun Dog Championship
DESCRIPTION:The NGDC is a Vizsla-only walking trial with 1-hour braces. \nA “walking” trial differs from a horseback trial in that the handler is on foot. The braces are run for an entire hour\, and the dogs are required to retrieve. The NGDC event is held annually and includes an additional stake\, Open Puppy\, also on foot.

SUMMARY:2024 VCA National Specialty Events
DESCRIPTION:The Vizsla Club of America holds its National Specialty events the 17th week of the AKC Corresponding Date Table. This event is held in a different region of the country every year and includes Conformation Sweepstakes\, Agility\, Junior Showmanship\, Obedience\, Rally\, Scent Work\, educational events\, and Judges Education. In addition to the National Events\, two other events take place: the All Star Review and the Iron Dog competition. The All Star Review is limited to Vizslas with a Conformation Championship and either a Field Championship or Master Hunter title. A three-judge panel decides the winner. Iron Dog is not limited to championship dogs. It rewards the top versatile dogs competing in Conformation and Companion Events during the Nationals week. \nEntry in any VCA National Event (show\, field\, performance\, or companion event) requires a DNA number. This requirement also applies to rescues as well as spayed and neutered dogs. Advertising in the National Specialty Catalog requires both a DNA number and an OFA number if a specific dog’s name is used. \nNational Specialties are a great place to learn about the breed and talk to participants and breeders.
