About Us

The Twin Cities Vizsla Club (TCVC) was founded in 1980 and recognized by the American Kennel Club in 1981. We are a Twin Cities metropolitan area dog club enthusiastic about the Vizsla breed. Members primarily reside in Minnesota, but are also from throughout the United States. We host specialty shows, obedience trials, rally trials, and hunt tests. We are also sanctioned hold to field trials.

Jesi Foster

President

Jesi brought her first Vizsla, Rowan, home in 2009. She now has three Vizslas. She’s been a member of TCVC since 2009 and is active in several venues with her dogs – conformation, rally, agility, and sometimes will dabble in hunt tests. She has served in several roles since joining, holding seats on the board and the Newsletter Editor. She currently is co-chair of the Website committee along with being elected President. When not at a show or trial, she can be found constantly picking up dog toys or asking “What’s in your mouth?!?”

Todd Otten

Vice President

Todd and his wife Missy got their first Vizsla in 2008. He became an active member of TCVC in 2017. He currently has 3 Vizslas and is active in Conformation, Hunt Tests, Field trials, and upland bird Hunting. You will typically find him in a bird field on the weekends, watching and working his dogs.

Missy Otten

Secretary

Missy and her husband Todd got their first Vizsla, Gabby, in 2008 and since then have brought 3 others into their home. She has been a member of TCVC since 2020 and currently has 3 Vizslas, Chase, Riley and Norman as well as two adult children.

Missy enjoys long walks and cuddles with her dogs as well as cheering them on, whether in the ring or in a field.

Lois Almendinger

Director

Lois brought her first Vizsla home in 2000 and five others have followed. She currently has two boys – Sam almost 14 1/2 and Pfizer 7 1/2. She joined TCVC shortly obtaining her first Vizsla. Over the years she has served the club as a board member, club officer and on a variety of club committees. She has especially enjoyed working on the hunt test committee and helped the club grow that event over the years. She has also been on committees for the club when we hosted/co-hosted national events. She looks forward to another year of TCVC events and the opportunity of working with a wonderful board, but mostly our wonderful club and its members.

Karla Bachmann

Director

Karla is married to Bob and has three adult children Nate, Nick and Autumn. She joined TCVC a few years ago and became a member of the board in 2023. On a trip to Nebraska in 2005 she went with Bob to pick up first vizsla Maverick. Then, the following year they added Wyatt.

They currently have 2 vizslas Archer and Blaze that joined their family in 2018. Karla is active in Conformation, Rally, Barn Hunt, Tricks and FCAT with the boys. They look forward to trying out other adventures. Karla and the boys enjoy working together and love going out on their morning walks.

Melissa Lepsch

Director

Melissa has been involved in the dog world since 2003, and got her first vizsla, Micah, in 2005. She quickly fell in love with the breed and has titled dogs in agility, obedience, rally, conformation, lure coursing, and hunt tests. She currently has four Vizslas and focuses on conformation and hunt tests.
